Maggie'S Macaroni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box macaroni
    2 lb. ground beef
    3 large chopped onions
    1 green, sweet pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic or 1/2 tsp. powder
    1 c. syrup
    6 strips bacon
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 large bottle ketchup
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Chop bacon in small pieces and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Add onions, green pepper and garlic; cook until done.
    When almost half done, add ground beef; cook for 5 more minutes.
    Add Italian seasoning, tomatoes, ketchup and syrup.
    Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes; stir often.
    Cook macaroni by directions on box; drain.
    Put in a large mixing bowl.
    Add the cooled hamburger mixture; stir slightly.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
