Lentil And Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. chopped celery
    2 c. chicken bouillon (more if necessary)
    3/4 c. lentils, well rinsed
    1/2 c. barley
    3/4 c. chopped carrots
    3 to 5 oz. canned chicken
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a large saucepan over moderate heat, melt butter.
    Add onion and celery; cook until onion is lightly browned.
    Stir in bouillon, lentils, barley, carrots, salt, pepper and chicken. Bring to a boil; simmer until beans are tender.
