Ingredients

1 long loaf French bread
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. onions
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
dash of pepper
1 can (6 oz.) tomato sauce or paste
1 to 2 c. Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Split the bread lengthwise.
Brown the ground beef with the onions.
Drain the grease from the beef and add the Parmesan cheese, salt, oregano and pepper.
Add the tomato sauce or paste. Spread on the bread evenly.
Top with Mozzarella cheese.
Broil until the cheese melts.
Cut into crosswise servings.
Serves 8 to 12.
