New York Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 (1 3/4 lb.) head green cabbage, thinly shredded
    1/4 c. grated (medium-fine), pared carrot
    1/4 c. slivered green pepper
    1 tsp. finely grated onion (pulp and juice)
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. peanut oil
    1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix together all the ingredients; cover and chill. Keeps well.
