Bourbon Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. chocolate chips or bar German chocolate
1 c. white raisins
1 c. black walnut pieces
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
4 egg whites
1 stick butter
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. 100 proof bourbon
Preparation

Grate chocolate chips or bar and set aside.
Mix raisers and nuts with 1/4 cup flour so they are completely coated and set aside.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt, then add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and bourbon, beating well between additions. Fold in egg whites, then grated chocolate, nuts and raisins. (Reserve some chocolate mixture for garnish.)
Pour into 2 well greased and floured pans and bake for 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Cool on rack and frost.
