Layer Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk (Carnation)
4 large eggs
1/2 lb. butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Tbsp. Crisco (overflowing)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, beating one in at a time. Add milk and vanilla mixed together.
Mix in sifted flour and mix well.
Pour into four greased and floured cake pans and bake in moderate 350\u00b0 oven until done.
(For thinner layers put less mixture in the pans.
I get 6 to 7 thin layers from this batter.) Frost with your favorite frosting.
