Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. light molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Combine sugar and egg; add molasses and shortening.
Sift together flour, salt, cloves, baking soda, cinnamon and ginger. Combine the two mixtures and mix well.
Form in balls and dip tops in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
