Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. butter, creamed
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs, beaten slightly
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. blackberry preserves or frozen berries plus 1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix spices and baking powder with flour; sift.
    Mix well. Then add berries and other ingredients.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes in a tube pan.
