Macaroni-Tomato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. (4 c.) uncooked elbow macaroni
    1/2 lb. cut up sharp Cheddar cheese (2 c.)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 1/2 c. canned stewed tomatoes
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0 (moderate).
    Place cooked macaroni, cheese, salt and pepper in alternate layers in buttered 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch oblong baking dish.
    Pour tomatoes over all.
    Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
