Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/4 c. salad oil
    2 c. sugar (part may be brown)
    1 large egg
    3 c. grated apples (about 6)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sift the flour with the baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
    Set aside.
    Beat the oil with the sugar and egg until creamed.
    Fold the sifted flour into the creamed mixture, alternating with the grated apple and vanilla, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Add the chopped nuts last.
    Pour into a buttered 10-inch tube or Bundt pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 to 15 minutes.
    Cool in the pan 10 minutes before turning onto a rack to cool completely.
