Easy Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. oil
2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green bell pepper
1 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 (1 lb.) pkg. frozen okra and tomatoes
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 bay leaves
4 c. chicken broth
4 c. water
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
2 c. chicken, ham, shrimp or smoked sausage
Preparation

Saute vegetables and seasonings in oil until soft.
Add broth, water and brown gravy mix.
Cook one hour on simmer.
Add meat; heat thoroughly.
Serve over cooked rice.
Makes about 3 quarts.
