Cream Of Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. mushrooms
    1 pt. water or stock
    3/4 pt. fresh milk
    2 oz. butter or substitute
    2 oz. flour
    seasoning
Preparation
    Chop mushrooms finely unless it is desired to strain the soup. Melt butter in saucepan; fry mushrooms for 5 minutes, stirring to prevent their discoloring.
    Stir in the flour and cook for 3 minutes.
    Remove the pan from the heat and gradually add water and milk.
    Bring to the boil and cook until soup thickens.
