The Rabbi'S Vegetable Kugel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. grated raw apple
    1 c. grated raw sweet potato
    1 c. grated raw carrot
    1 c. matzah meal
    1/2 c. margarine, melted (pareve)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. Grease a 10-inch casserole. Mix all ingredients together well. Pour into the baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Raise oven to 350\u00b0; remove cover and bake an additional 15 minutes. Slice and eat hot as a vegetable; serve with a meat.
