Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    6 slices bacon
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. vinegar
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Boil potatoes with jackets.
    Cool, peel and slice.
    Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from skillet and drain on paper.
    Saute onion in bacon fat until golden brown.
    Blend in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in water and vinegar.
    Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Carefully add potatoes and crumbled bacon.
    Remove from heat.
    Cover and place in a warm oven until ready to serve.
    Best when made at least an hour before serving.
