Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 pkg. Fleischmann's yeast
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. warm water
    enough flour to make dough knead well (5 or 6 c.)
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and
    1/2
    teaspoon sugar in 1/2 cup warm water. Set aside until
    yeast
    rises
    at least to top of cup, higher is okay.
    Setting cup in cereal bowl of warm water will help it rise faster.
    It rises in 15 minutes or so.
