Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs or 8 egg yolks
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 2/3 c. scalded milk
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla (if desired)
Preparation

Beat eggs slightly with beater, then beat in remaining ingredients.
Pour into pastry lined pie pan.
Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes until a knife inserted 1-inch from side of filling comes out clean.
The center may look a bit soft but will set later.
