Savory Sausage And Lentil Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry lentils
5 c. water
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. garlic salt
3/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/8 tsp. black pepper
16 oz. Polish or German sausage, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 medium onions, cut into small wedges
2 c. tomato juice
2 tsp. barbecue sauce concentrate
Preparation

Sift through and rinse lentils, picking out any stones or shriveled lentils.
Place in oven with water and seasoning. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 35 minutes.
