Red Beans And Rice(Makes 4 To 6 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onions
2/3 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red beans (undrained)
1/2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
1 bay leaf
4 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation

In large skillet, saute onions, green peppers and garlic in margarine until onion is tender.
Stir in beans, sausage and bay leaf.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove bay leaf.
Serve bean mixture over rice.
