German Style Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 medium potatoes
    1 medium onion
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/8 c. water
    salt to taste
    8 to 10 Tbsp. sugar or more for taste
    flour or cornstarch
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until tender.
    Slice into large bowl.
    Add onion cut into small pieces.
    Fry bacon until well done.
    Pour in vinegar and sugar and salt.
    Bring to boil and thicken with flour and water mixture or cornstarch and water mixture.
    Cook until thickened.
    Pour over potatoes until well mixed.
