Pineapple Congealed Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. pineapple syrup
    1 c. crushed drained pineapple
    1 c. grated American cheese
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in cold water.
    Dissolve sugar in pineapple syrup over low heat; add gelatin.
    Stir and let cool slightly. Add pineapple and cheese.
    Let cool and add whipped cream.
