Moussaka - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 onion, chopped
1 large eggplant, peeled and chopped (several zucchini may be substituted for the eggplant, do not peel)
2 tomatoes, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. oil
3 slices bacon
1/2 c. cheese (your favorite)
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
nutmeg to taste
Preparation

Saute onions, eggplant
(or zucchini) and tomatoes with salt and pepper in oil
over medium heat; do not brown.
Layer half the eggplant
mixture,
bacon,
and remaining eggplant in deep baking dish.
Combine cheese, milk and egg in bowl.
Beat until smooth. Add
nutmeg
to
taste.
Pour
over
casserole. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
