Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. pears, peel, core and grind
    7 medium onions, ground (approximately 2 c.)
    8 large bell peppers, ground (approximately 2 c.)
    8 red hot peppers (2 Tbsp. chopped fine)
    1/4 c. salt
    3 Tbsp. turmeric
    3 Tbsp. dry mustard
    4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar (white)
Preparation
    Mix vegetables.
    Add salt and soak 1 hour; drain well.
    Add turmeric, dry mustard, sugar and vinegar.
    Cook 30 minutes.
    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium, stir occasionally.
    Put in sterile glass jars and seal.
    Yields 10 pints.
