Tomato Cheese Whirls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. presifted flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. tomato juice
    3 Tbsp. softened butter
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Sift
    together
    flour, soda and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture
    resembles
    fine
    crumbs. Add tomato juice; mix only until
    dry
    ingredients
    are moistened.
    Turn dough onto lightly floured board. Roll out 1/4 inch thick into rectangle. Spread dough
    with butter.
    Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Roll up like jelly roll, starting from longer side.
    Cut into 1/2-inch slices.
    Place
    cut
    side down on baking sheet which has
    been greased.
    Bake
    in
    preheated
    oven
    at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
