Quick Peach Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sliced fresh peaches or 2 (16 oz.) cans sliced peaches, drained
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Place peaches in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar.
    Cream margarine and 1/2 cup sugar. Add flour and egg; mix well.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Spoon mixture over sugared peaches.
    Don't try to cover every peach, just drop spoonfuls randomly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
    Great with vanilla ice cream!
