Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    In medium bowl, beat the egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar at medium speed about 1 minute or until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar about 1 tablespoon at a time, beating at high speed with mixer for about 4 minutes more or until soft glossy peaks and sugar is dissolved.
    Spread immediately over pie carefully, sealing to edge of pastry to prevent shrinkage.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes to brown.
