Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked and cooled
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    dash of salt
    1 (3 oz.) strawberry Jell-O (delete 1 Tbsp.)
    1 bag frozen strawberries, thawed and drained
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, water and salt.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and clear.
    Add Jell-O.
    Pour half into pie shell.
    Arrange strawberries into Jell-O mixture.
    Pour remaining mixture over strawberries. Refrigerate until congealed.
    Serve with whipped cream.
