Chocolate Icebox Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
4 eggs, separated
heavy cream
6 Tbsp. water
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 to 3 doz. ladyfingers
1/2 pt. whipping cream
Preparation

Melt chocolate in water (double boiler).
Mix beaten egg yolks and sugar together. Beat into chocolate until sugar is dissolved, then allow to cool. Beat egg whites stiff.
Beat egg whites into chocolate mixture. Whip 1/2 pint heavy cream and add to mixture. Alternate ladyfingers (split) and chocolate mixture in a deep dish cake pan. Chill for 24 hours.
Serve with light topping of whipping cream.
