Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. water
    2 3/4 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 3/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Simmer raisins and water for approximately 15 minutes.
    Add salt, baking soda and butter.
    Let cool.
    Then mix together eggs, sugar, vanilla and flour and add to raisin mixture, mixing well. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans or may use 1 or 2 pound coffee cans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Put pan of water in bottom of oven.
