Beefy Jalapeno Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 chopped onion
    4 to 5 jalapeno peppers
Preparation
    Combine corn meal, milk, eggs, salt, soda, oil and corn in a mixing bowl; blend well and set aside.
    Pour half of corn meal batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan; sprinkle with cheese. Saute ground beef until lightly browned; drain thoroughly. Crumble beef over cheese and sprinkle with onion and peppers. Pour remaining corn meal over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes. Yields 10 to 12 servings.
