Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can LeSueur peas
1 small can julienne carrots
mashed potatoes
mild Cheddar cheese, grated
salt, to taste
pepper (optional)
1/2 c. cooking wine (optional)
Preparation

Fry ground beef mixed with onion, salt and pepper until done. Drain grease.
Add peas, carrots and cooking wine.
Let simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Fix mashed potatoes, approximately 2 cups (fresh or instant).
Spread meat mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish and cover with mashed potatoes and top with grated cheese.
Heat in microwave or 350\u00b0 in conventional oven for 30 minutes or until cheese has melted.
Serves 4.
