Mama Rains' Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Beat well.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Roll 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut. Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet quick (400\u00b0 to 450\u00b0) about 15 minutes.
