Original Fruit Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. pineapple juice
    1/2 c. tapioca
    a little sugar
    1 1/2 c. orange juice
    12 oz. can apricot nectar
    available fruits (fresh fruits are better; peaches, 1 or 2 pears, strawberries, melons and bananas)
    pineapple (needed also)
Preparation
    Cook the first 3 ingredients until tapioca is thick and clear. Cool.
    Make thick enough so other juices can be added.
    Adjust to your taste.
    This makes the \"base.\"
    Base keeps 1 week in refrigerator.
    When chilled, add fresh or frozen strawberries, peaches, pineapple, fresh pears, melons, etc.
    Add bananas near serving time.
    Bananas and pears give a mellow flavor.
