Saucy Tuna Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. broad or medium noodles
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 (7 oz. each) cans tuna, drained and flaked
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz.)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cook noodles according to package directions.
    In medium skillet, heat oil and cook onion and green pepper until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, water, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
    In a 2-quart casserole, combine noodles, sauce and tuna. Bake, covered, 30 minutes or until heated through. Top with cheese.
    Let stand, covered, until cheese is melted.
    Makes about 6 servings.
