Paper Thin Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced young squash
    2 c. bell peppers, sliced in pieces
    2 c. onions, sliced
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    2 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Cover
    squash,
    bell
    peppers and onions.
    Soak in real cold water
    and
    2/3
    cup
    salt; soak for 1 hour.
    Drain real good. While soaking, put sugar, vinegar, celery seed, mustard seed and turmeric in large boiler; let come to boil.
