Swiss Bar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, divided
    2 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. water
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream together butter, white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
    Add egg yolks, baking powder and baking soda. Press in a greased 11 x 15-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate chips; press down.
    Beat egg whites stiff.
    Slowly add 1 cup brown sugar.
    Spread over chips, nuts and dough.
    Bake 20 minutes.
