Ingredients

1/2 c. rice
1 qt. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. seedless raisins
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Combine rice, milk, sugar and salt; pour into buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Bake in slow oven (300\u00b0) for 1 hour.
Stir occasionally.
Add lemon peel, nutmeg and raisins.
Continue baking 1 1/2 to 1 1/3 hours.
Makes 6 servings.
