Ingredients

1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. unbleached white flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter, cut into pieces
1/3 c. finely chopped pecans
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. honey
1/2 c. white grape juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Spray 2 baking sheets with vegetable spray.
In a medium bowl, stir together the whole wheat flour, unbleached flour and baking powder.
Cut butter into mixture with a pastry blender until mixture resembles crumbs.
Mix in nuts.
In a small bowl, beat together the eggs and honey.
Add grape juice, extracts and spices. Stir into flour mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Makes 36 cookies.
