Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. uncooked oatmeal
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    12 oz. chocolate chips
    3 eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, pour water over oatmeal.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Add sugars and butter, stirring until butter melts.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Stir in flour, soda, cocoa and salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir in half of chips.
    Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Sprinkle top with remaining chips and walnuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Makes 12 servings.
