Ingredients

1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. sugar
2 large eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 egg white
almond halves
Preparation

Combine honey and sugar. Add eggs; beat. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Shape into a ball and refrigerate 2 hours. Roll out on a floured board to a 1/4-inch thickness and cut with a round cookie cutter. Brush top of each cookie with egg white and press an almond into the center. Cook on greased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes at 375\u00b0.
