Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 c. cold water
    3 Tbsp. clear jell
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. red coloring
    1/2 box or 1 1/2 oz. (3 1/2 Tbsp.) strawberry jello
    3/4 qt. strawberries or more
    1 baked (9-inch) pie crust
Preparation
    Put in saucepan the clear jell, sugar, salt, Karo syrup and coloring; stir together and add the cold water.
    Then add hot water and place on stove to boiling point for 1 minute.
    Remove from stove and add the jello.
    Stir until dissolved and let cool until just cold, then add washed, drained and cut strawberries. Fill the pie crust and refrigerate until it thickens.
    Top with whipped cream or Rich's topping.
