Ginger Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. cold coffee
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Blend together sugar, shortening, egg and molasses.
    Sift together remaining ingredients except coffee.
    Add sifted ingredients to molasses mixture.
    Add cold coffee and mix until smooth.
    Pour onto large, greased cookie sheet with sides.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
    Frost with butter icing using cold coffee as liquid.
