Homemade Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. popcorn
    nuts (optional)
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 sticks margarine
    1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 250\u00b0.
    Mix brown sugar, margarine and Karo syrup.
    Bring mixture to a boil and allow to boil 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda.
    Stir lightly.
    Pour over popcorn and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Place in baking pan.
    Allow to bake for 1 hour.
    Remember to stir every 15 minutes to keep it mixed well.
