Apple, Cream Cheese, Almond Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. granulated sugar
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    1 egg
    2 large apples
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch of nutmeg
    1/2 c. sliced, blanched almonds
Preparation
    Important:
    Divide granulated sugar into thirds.
    Mix flour, 1/3 sugar and brown sugar.
    Add butter in pieces and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Mix (with fingers or pastry blender) until it resembles coarse meal.
    Chill briefly, then press into 9-inch spring-form pan, building up edges about 1-inch all around.
