Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (48 oz.) jar whole dill pickles
    3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Drain pickles well.
    Cut into chunks and return to jar.
    Layer with sugar.
    Add vinegar and celery seed.
    Place lid on tightly and leave jar at room temperature until sugar dissolves.
    Turn upside-down every hour.
    Refrigerate to have crisp pickle chunks.
