Georgia Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    6 c. peeled and thinly sliced Georgia apples
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    After preparing pastry, preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
    Stir in apples and turn into pastry lined 9-inch pie plate.
    Dot with butter or margarine. Cover with top crust that has slits cut in it.
    Fold upper crust over lower crust.
    Seal and flute.
    Cover browning.
    Remove during last 15 minutes.
    Bake until crust is brown and filling bubbles through slits (about 40 to 50 minutes).
    Serves 8.
