Meatball Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck or ground beef
    1 egg
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 medium size potatoes, cut into quarters (4 pieces per potato)
    1/2 c. oatmeal
    3 carrots, grated and cut into 2-inch pieces
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. oil
    about 2 c. water
Preparation
    Mix beef, oatmeal, egg, salt and pepper in mixing bowl.
    Mix well.
    Shape into balls.
    Brown in oil over medium heat until all sides are browned.
    Remove them from pan.
    Add onions until tender.
    Add flour to this (will be like a paste).
    Slowly add water, making a gravy (will be thin).
