Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. enriched flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. raisins or currants
2 large eggs, beaten
2 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
1 1/2 Tbsp. caraway seed
Preparation

Preheat ove to 325\u00b0.
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
Mix in raisins and currants.
Combine beaten eggs, buttermilk and shortening.
Add this liquid mixture to the dry ingredients.
Mix until just moistened.
Do not overmix.
Add caraway seed and mix in gently.
Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour.
Remove from pan and let cool.
