German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 oz. sweet cooking chocolate
14 oz. Eagle Brand milk
1/2 c. hot water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 oz. butter or margarine
1/2 c. whole eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flaked coconut
9-inch partially baked pie shell
Preparation

Preheat oven
to 375\u00b0.
In heavy saucepan over low heat melt chocolate and
butter.
In large bowl combine Eagle Brand milk and warm
chocolate
mixture.
Mix well. Add eggs, water, vanilla and salt,
mixing
well.
Pour
filling into prepared crust and top with
1/2
cup
nuts and coconut.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until the center is softly set.
Cool and chill for 3 to 4
hours before serving.
Garnish with whipped cream and pecans, if desired.
