Quick Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onion rings
    1 onion
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 can condensed beef broth
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    Gruyere cheese cubed
    Toasted bread rounds
    Gruyere cheese, grated
Preparation
    chop onion, sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. sugar.
    Cook in saucepan with margarine until carmelized.
    Add 1 c. onion rings and wilt. Add beef broth and water. Cook for 10 minutes.
    Pour over tiny cubes of cheese in deep bowls.
    Top with toast rounds and grated cheese.
    Brown under broiler.
