Apple-Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 3/4 c. whole wheat pastry flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. unsweetened apple juice
2 c. diced, unpeeled apples
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. raisins
whipped topping, frozen vanilla yogurt or ice cream (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 9-inch square or round cake pan.
In medium bowl, blend together applesauce, brown sugar and vanilla by hand or with a mixer.
Add flour, cinnamon and salt. Stir a few times to combine.
Add juice; blend well.
